Advocacy For African International Students In The UK

October 16

Our research shows that 1 in 16 international students in the UK are from Africa (2017/18) (Erudera, 2023). Currently, almost 1 in 10 international students in the UK are from Africa (2022/23) (Erudera, 2023). Nigerian students and their dependents contributed an estimated £1.9 billion to the economy of the UK, according to SBM intelligence (Kolawole, 2023). African international students face unique challenges, including financial constraints, cultural barriers, discrimination, and housing. By highlighting these challenges together, we can create an inclusive and equitable educational environment for African international students.
