We need talented, dynamic, and creative individuals to join us as volunteers. We need a visual genius with an eye for details, organised, good writer, and social media addict, highly motivated and brilliantly aware of the voluntary and community sector.

The Role

  • Work with the project team in the production of social media and blog imagery and content from concept to execution. You will also assist in the management of Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts and help produce social imagery.
  • You will have an attention for detail and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. The role will require you to play an integral part in identifying key influencers and partnerships for blog content, choosing and editing exclusive imagery and coordinating features with external parties.
  • Be responsible for capturing content for social media and blogs. We also need you to suggest ideas and develop concepts for our advocacy work and campaign for social change.
  • Able to produce monthly feedback for our social media channels.
  • Have WordPress template experience, a basic HTML understanding and moving image creation and editing.
  • With a good knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word/ Excel/ Outlook.

AFRIDAC is looking for an imaginative, enthusiastic person to support our high-impact social action advocacy and campaigns for the African and Afro-Caribbean community. This voluntary role is part of a team which is working to engage voluntary groups, businesses and community members to support delivery of our advocacy projects and to engage people from all communities in taking action about the issues which are important to them.

AFRIDAC is looking for an experienced fundraiser to help us sustain and grow our income and help us succeed in achieving our objectives.

The Role

  • You will be an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser who can bring demonstrable success in securing, managing and effectively stewarding significant grants, together with an understanding of the current grant-making climate across the UK and Europe.
  • Ideally bringing your own knowledge of key contacts and networks to the role.
  • You will also ensure that all current grants are given appropriate donor care. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in developing and expanding trust and foundation support.
  • Pro-active relationship management of existing trusts/foundations, including coordinating all commitments for these funders across the charity.
  • Researching, writing and monitoring applications for a broad range of trusts, foundations and other grant giving institutions, packaging programmes into innovative ‘asks’ that meet the criteria of the funder.
  • Ensuring that all income is recorded, monitored and reported according to required deadlines.
  • Contributing to and providing regular updates across the organisation to ensure trust and foundation fundraising activity is embedded across the organisation and is aligned with the wider plans and objectives of the charity.
  • Undertaking administrative responsibilities related to new funding being secured including liaising with the Executive Director and Finance teams to record new income and ensuring all funding agreements are signed and returned on time.
