New funding from the Mayor of London Building Strong Communities Fund
AFRIDAC is glad to announce our new funding from the Mayor of London Building Strong Communities Fund for our project Kaakaki. The funding will allow AFRIDAC to provide advocacy training and mentoring for 10 Community Advocates over 6 months in London. With increased advocacy skill the trained Community Advocates will amplify the voice of the African community to influence social change, tackle poverty and inequality.
AFRIDAC has a track record of working with the African community to deliver advocacy messages and effecting social change. Through various grants over the years we have engaged with the African community in he UK by delivering advocacy workshops to address poverty and inequality, mental health services for young people and African men and women through our African Men Safe Space (AMSS) and Black Women Safe Space (BWSS).
